In July of 2026, Waveform moved from the loft in North Oakland to an art studio in West Berkeley, by the Aquatic Park and Berkeley Marina. Whether you are visiting the East Bay from out of town or are a local, make a day of it! Choose from some ready-made dates (Waveform tested) or explore some of our favorite spots nearby!
Parking Deets
The Waveform studio shares a private parking lot with our neighbors, Helios Glass, and a few tenants in our complex, 2nd Street Industrial Art Studios. Please do NOT park in this parking lot! Instead, there are three options:
Free public parking lot right off the exit ramp; usually full of cars, people who work in the area or take the train park here so there is decent foot traffic.
The Aquatic Park is half a block away, with ample parking! Drive towards the red buildings and enjoy the half block walk through the park to the studio.
Street parking is rare right on our block, ; try around the corner on Addison, or just over the tracks on 4th St.

Old School Directions
Southbound on I-80: Take the Gilman exit, then a right on 2nd street, a right on Page and a left to get on the Eastshore Highway which goes parallel to 1-80. Then a left on Hearst and a right back onto 2nd - this way you avoid crossing the railroad tracks and getting stuck waiting for a freight train!
Northbound on I-80: Take the University exit, bear right at the fork; take another right at the stop sign (or park right there in the lot); the studio is in a big yellow building with blue doors, right across from the Toyota Collision Center!
Not on I-80: Take Hearst or Addison till you are on 2nd! Then find parking :)
By bike: Dwight Way to 6th is a nice route, with a bike lane and few pot holes.
Public Transit: Downtown Berkeley BART has a shuttle to West Berkeley!
