Waveform is looking for a Studio Assistant to help with chores and processes. Contribute to an intimate pottery studio and get hands on experience behind the scenes running a small business.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing space and materials for class: wedge clay, clean tools, tidy spaces

  • General cleaning tasks: sweep, mop, vacuum, wipe down surfaces

  • Help with one off projects: pouring plaster, hanging shelves, wheel repair

  • Reclaiming clay: water management, mixing wet clay, wedging

You…

  • Are interested in learning how an art studio runs

  • Have experience with clay and in a pottery studio as a member, student, volunteer or staff member

  • Can comfortably lift 40 pounds

  • Enjoy physical labor and learning how to fix things

Accessibility Notes 

Workspace is up a flight of stairs, space is scent-free. We mostly use natural light / no overhead lights unless it’s night. Waveform prioritizes making accommodations – let’s talk. 

Hours & Pay

2-3 two-hour shifts a week, Thursday - Monday evenings, $20/hour
