Utilizing Clay Therapeutically, Foundations and Interventions for Practitioners in the Healing Arts will be hosted by Caty Monahon and Judy Fleming, LMFT, EAT, on June 4th, 6pm. $40-80 sliding scale
Great for therapists, educators, social workers and counselors
Get a practical understanding of how to integrate clay into your professional work and/or personal grounding practices
Learn the basics of working with clay through a grounding handbuilding activity
Explore an overview of possible interventions with an emphasis on ethics and boundaries.
About Caty: Caty runs Waveform Ceramics, a beginner art classroom in North Oakland with a focus on body awareness and having fun. They have been working with clay since age 13; their facilitation style is trauma-informed and focused on creating a welcoming, inclusive environment for beginners.
About Judy: Judy is a ceramic artist with over 20 years working with clay, a Marriage and Family Therapist and Expressive Arts therapist. She runs Ground Ceramics, a ceramics studio where she hosts workshops to all ages and abilities as well as sanctuary space for her art and therapy practice.
